Cisco offers the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

indicates a working knowledge of designing routed and switched networks
involving LAN, WAN and dial access services for networks with fewer than

Certification and CompTIA Network+ Certification
CompTIA,
the Computing Technology Industry Association, offers the A+
Certification exams, a testing program that certifies the competency of
entry-level (six months experience) service technicians in the computer
industry. The A+ Certification exams assess basic computer service and

The ECDL Foundation awards ECDL or ICDL certification
to those who have passed one theoretical test on basic Information
Technology concepts and six practice-based tests using a personal computer
and common computer applications. To prepare for these tests, an

front. In my blogs for that week, I posted stories about
question updates planned for Microsoft core exams 70-210
and 70-215, described a "members-only" certification
portal that Cisco launched on Friday, May 9, provided some

joked about IBM's intentions to go paperless with its
